The wonderful bridges, also known as the Rock Bridges, are a rock phenomenon located in the karst valley of the Erkyupria River in the Western Rhodope Mountains, Bulgaria.
They are located at 1450 m above sea level, at the foot of Golyam Persenk peak.
The bridges were formed as a result of the erosion activity of a flooded river in the past, which transformed the cracks in the marble into a deep water cave, whose ceiling thinned in places and collapsed over time. It is assumed that the debris from the collapse was subsequently carried away by the river.
70 km south of Plovdiv, on the road to Smolyan, a sign indicates a turnoff to the right. There is a 17 km road that leads to the Wonderful Bridges.
The wonderful bridges are among the Hundred National Tourist, number 85. There is a seal in the tourist information center of the village of Shiroka Laka, in the huts "Perelik" and "Skalni mostove".
